ONPERSPECTIVE
Join onPerspective.
Perspective is the Library — essays, interviews and first-hand accounts, free to read and written to be argued with. Joining onPerspective means making more of them, and making them better.
What the work is
Writing
Essays and interviews on a monthly theme, written from experience rather than from theory.
Editing
Shaping other people’s drafts into the best version of what they actually meant.
Translation
Carrying the work between Japanese and English without flattening it on the way.
Who we are looking for
Writers, editors and translators, and the researchers who make a piece defensible. A link to something you have written tells us far more than a CV does.
You do not have to join to be published. Anyone can submit to the Library, and we would rather read a piece than an introduction to one.
How this one runs
STEP 1
Apply
One form, and a few sentences about what you would want to write, edit or translate.
STEP 2
We read it
onPerspective is decided on the application itself — there is no interview to prepare for. Send a link to your work if you have one.
STEP 3
Welcome
One email with your Microsoft Teams invitation, and a checklist that tracks everything left to do.

Your team is already chosen below. You can add another if more than one fits — it stays one application, one decision, and one conversation.

Rather talk first?
Book a short conversation. Applying is not a commitment, and neither is this.
